Dont forget to come and see us at the Hippy Chic shop in Fethiye. We are right next door to the Mulberry Tree Cafe. That's the English cafe opposite Pasa Kebab.
I've spent the whole winter making some beautfiful handmade pieces. I have been studying textile jewellery and many of the pieces are made from textiles and are adaptations of traditional Anatolyan felt craft.
There is a huge range of handmade greetings cards too, many of which contain precious materials.
We open on May 1st.

Well it was a good season for us, but sadly we will not be returning to the Levent this year.
The rent is too high, the tour operator payments are too low and with the economic problems in Europe we feel it is too risky to open the hotel again.

We had some wonderful guests, a few not so wonderful and a few who were downright horrid - thankfully not many. Overall our TripAdvisor comments were good and the tour operators had very positive feedback from the guests. During the course of the season we rose from the bottom of the tour op 'league table' up about 20 places, which was great because some of the ratings were about things the hotel did not have and therefore could not be rated on.

I have no idea who will be running the hotel this year. It is up for rent again (at an even higher rent than we paid), so its likely the old owners will be back.

Thanks to all you guests out there who have phoned and emailed asking if we will be back again next year. I am sorry that we wont be.

We made some great friends this year and many guests still keep in touch and let us know their news.

I have continued to make jewellery and the range has increased and improved . We intend renting a little shop in Fethiye next to the Mulberry Tree Cafe and run a small gift shop this year. Look out for us if you are coming to Fethiye this year, there'll be a cuppa waiting for you. I will be setting up a blog/website for this later, you can check back here for the link when it is ready. It would be lovely to see you.

Rosie and Pob are well and have been enjoying the winter eating and sleeping and not much else. Pob is as big as Rosie and I swear weighs more. The winter lifestyle has suited him.

Thanks to everyone who has stayed with us this season. We have enjoyed and missed everyone of you. Some of you are coming back in September and October and we look forward to seeing you again.

My little earring business is booming. So much so that my range of handmade jewellery

Hippy Chic Jewellery

is now playing a major role in our income and the range has extended.

Now in the little shop in the reception you can buy
Beaded bookmarks, handbag charms, keyrings and phone charms, as well as more necklaces and bracelets.

The Precious Earring Range is proving popular with the guests. They are a bit pricier than the normal range, but that is because they have sterling silver ear wires and are composed of 'precious' real gem stones, crystal and freshwater pearls. They make great gifts, being light to carry home and an original and lasting memento of your holiday in Fethiye.

My designs are all 'one offs' so that adds to the uniqueness of the gift too. Of course you don't have to confine yourself to buying them for gifts. You can match or contrast them to your holiday outfits. Thanks to the lady who bought a pair of earrings every single day of her holiday to match each one of her new holiday tops and dresses. (You know who you are!)

There are all things beaded to be found in the Hippy Chic Jewellery Store.

I'm happy to take commissions too. I made a couple of tiaras in July for a lady to take back home for her forthcoming wedding and if you show me your favourite holiday dress I will make a necklace and earring set especially for you to match it.

Ziggy our beloved waiter and barman has surpassed himself with his great university results. He will go to Gazi University in Ankara to study Tourism and Hotel Management. Sadly for us, he will leave in September - but I'm sure everyone wishes him well. No doubt his experiences at Hotel Levent will prepare him for greater things!

Eating at the Levent Hotel

Breakfasts at the Levent are traditionally Turkish. There is nothing so delicious eaten outside in the early morning sun than the usual fresh tomatoes, cucumber, melon, cheeses, olives and bread. We aim to have different egg dishes every day. Coffee, tea, squash, jams and honey are always available as is delicious locally baked fresh bread. Full English breakfasts are available for an extra charge as are freshly squeezed fruit juice and smoothies or try some of our delicious breakfast muffins.

We have tried to put together a menu that we like to think of as a ‘fusion’ menu. That is to say, Turkish, European dishes or combinations of them both! Mediterranean cuisine is healthy, fresh and delicious.

We pride ourselves on providing quality delicious food at reasonable prices.
We have a daily choice of English desserts and freshly baked home made cakes.

Dinner is served on the terrace or around the pool. Gentle music and soft candle light in the tranquil surroundings of the hotel gardens all add to a peaceful, romantic atmosphere to enhance your dining experience. Various quality Turkish wines are always available.

The 'main' road is just below the terrace, but don't let that scare you, there is very little traffic apart from the dolmus (tiny Turkish bus). You can stop the bus outside the hotel and travel into the town or one of the gorgeous beaches at nearby Olu Deniz or Aksaz Koyu and stop it outside the hotel again when you come back. Go shopping in Fethiye centrum or visit the Tuesday market. If you are going to the beach for the day we can make you a lunch of your choicepacked in a cool bag

This is one of our double rooms. Most rooms have balconies complete with chairs so you can relax and enjoy a last look at the view before you retire for the night. You can't see it here, but there are ample wardrobes with plenty of hangers for your precious holiday outfits.

All rooms have en suite shower rooms with basin, toilet, shower and hairdryer. Simple and basic, but effective.
